A house in which time has stood still
The Texel House of Antiquities shows life as it used to be in the old days. The traditional old-Dutch furnishing takes you back to the time of your grandma’s grandmother. A time in which doing the household was a tough daily task. People could do so much, and without all our modern tools! Find out how they used to cook, wash, welcome visitors and made sure there was enough food in wintertime. Also be sure to enjoy the picturesque herb garden behind the house. With about a hundred eatable, medicinal and useful herbs.
