It comes in two parts and was traditionally used to make <em>broeder<\/em>.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    \n    <div class=\"row expanded small-up-1 large-up-3 \">\n            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"image-text wp-block alignfull image-text--image-right\" id=\"text-image-block_ebb800bde6c9fec36735b0d5133c84a9\">\n\t<div class=\"row align-middle\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"column small-12 large-6 image-text__text-col\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"px-l\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"image-text__title\">Not your everyday bread<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"image-text__text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><em>Broeder<\/em> is a rich, sweet bread filled with currants and raisins. Other names for this type of bread include <em>poffert<\/em>, <em>boffert<\/em>, and <em>ketelkoek<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>It was originally cooked by placing the dough in the sealed mould and heating it in a pan of boiling water for two hours. These days, we use a Bundt tin and an oven instead.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"column small-12 large-6 image-text__image-col\">\n\t\t\t\t<img class=\"image-text__image lazyload aspect-ratio-12-8\" data-src=\"https:\/\/oudheidkamertexel.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/07\/broeder-2-1200x800.jpg\" alt=\"Een aardewerken bakvorm in de keuken van Oudheidkamer Texel\" \/>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"image-text wp-block alignfull image-text--image-left\" id=\"text-image-block_d6bd46b4278c9d20bbeab1d5e11c0e05\">\n\t<div class=\"row align-middle\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"column small-12 large-6 image-text__text-col\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"px-l\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"image-text__title\">Recipe broeder<\/h2>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"image-text__text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>400 grams of self-raising flour<\/li>\n<li>2 eggs<\/li>\n<li>450 ml of lukewarm milk,<\/li>\n<li>200 grams of currants and raisins<\/li>\n<li>a pinch of salt<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 175\u00b0C. Mix the flour, eggs, and milk together, then add the currants, raisins, and a pinch of salt. Pour the batter into a greased Bundt tin and bake for an hour. To check if it&#8217;s done, insert a fork.
