The paintings of characteristic buildings, village scenes and landscapes depict Texel at the start of the 20th century. Presented in a colourful setting, arranged by subject.<\/p>\n                <\/div>\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    \n    <div class=\"row expanded small-up-1 large-up-3 \">\n            <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n<section class=\"image-text wp-block alignfull image-text--image-right\" id=\"text-image-block_fe87a2bc1548c6d3ff7d754aaac9d44b\">\n\t<div class=\"row align-middle\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"column small-12 large-6 image-text__text-col\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"px-l\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"image-text__title\">By professionals and amateurs\t<\/h3>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"image-text__text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Almost 50 works by both professionals and amateurs are on display at &#8216;Boven de Bank&#8217;. You can see paintings by well-known artists such as Blok van der Velde and Souwtje de Wijn alongside works by unknown artists.  Thanks to Jac.P. Thijsse and the Verkade albums, Texel gained a reputation as a truly special nature reserve. The paintings depict the Texel of yesteryear, with its wide landscapes and sandy paths through the villages. Two display cases have been transformed into doll\u2019s house rooms. Choose your own furnishings, including paintings, and decorate them exactly to your taste! Some of the paintings feature in a large jigsaw puzzle.
