Accessibility
The Texel House of Antiquities is a historic residence dating back to 1599. Because of this, the museum is unfortunately not easily accessible for people with less mobility. Visiting the museum with a wheelchair or mobility scooter is not possible, with a walker it’s only possible if thresholds and small steps aren’t a problem. The upper floor can only be reached by a narrow, steep staircase. For those who do not dare to climb it, there is a booklet downstairs with photos of the exhibition and the accompanying texts. Due to this you can stay downstairs and still get a good impression of what is on display in the temporary exhibition.
Dogs
Dogs are not allowed in the Texel House of Antiquities, with the exception of assistance dogs.
